Some random 4chan pic

Here is a random pic I found on 4chan. No idea on the series (if any) or artist. It was originally just to test what a Wacom tablet was like for tracing, but I never got around to posting it. Also one of my few recent-ish traces to be done in Illustrator.

Got no idea on the source of this pic (from 4chan), but as soon as I saw it, I had to have it as a background. And this is, imo, my best (and one of my biggest) traces yet. At 90 layers and 30Mb, it’s quite possibly my biggest trace, even more so than the party robot. I estimate there’s at least 12-15 hours of work in it.

It also needed a few more Photoshop techniques than the usual trace, particularly in the reflective areas on the guitar. A really challenging image.

Been a while since I did a trace. No idea on the source of this pic, it came from Moeboard. But I liked it enough to want it was a wallpaper, so here it is.

I picked up a fun little book at the cafe called the Moetan Wordbook. It’s a study guide for learning english, and has all sorts of words, with japanese equivalents, all used in sentences that have some sort of anime or game reference. Ink-chan, “the moest of lovely teacher on the planet!!” (I think that “moest” is spelled that way on purpose - it is moe-est (if you understand the concept of “moe”)) is cute as hell, its an adorable little book, and the quotes are completely *wack*. Any book that illustrates the use of the word “weapon” with the phrase “My Ultimate weapon is the China Canon attached to my groin” is alright in my book. ^^;;

Xmas Catgirl

It’s a Christmas wallpaper, but hell, who needs Christmas as an excuse. Due to the detail, these PNGs are big - 1.5Mb for the 1600×1200 version.

This one took me quite a while, and the result has paid off I reckon. Also, feel free to donate more RAM - I had Photoshop using 400Mb out of 500Mb of physical RAM at one point, and the scratch file went over 1Gb - that’s what I get for importing a 100-layer .PSD file from Illustrator.
