So here’s what I’m going to watch this season, because I’ve learnt not to trust Negs’ predictions. Anyway, there’s a few good shows out, and a few that could be hit and miss.
Ah! Megami-sama! Tatakau Tsubasa

I was surprised to see that this is actually still going. Well, Tatakau Tsubasa (”Fighting Wings”) is an OVA sequel to the two TV series from what I understand. Still, it should be good. Or would be, if I’d actually watched the TV series. Another one of those shows I intend to watch sometime, but probably never will.
Gunslinger Girl -Il Teatrino-

Having loved the first season, I nearly wet my pants when I heard the news there was a second one in the works. And unlike KG2, we haven’t been left waiting for this one. The art doesn’t look quite as good as the first season, but I may be wrong. Either way, I’ll just ignore what NegativeZero said about it, I’m watching it anyway.
H2O ~FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND~

Looks like this one follows the drama/romance forumla pretty much word for word. Blind guy meets a bunch of girls at a new school, and after a while, suddenly regains his sight. I expect this one to be a failboat and a half, but it’s actually got some half decent staff behind it, and the art looks pretty good to boot.
Minami-ke ~Okawari~

Minami-ke is a bit of an odd series in that it’s getting two series, produced by two seperate studios. However, I’m quite looking forward to Okawari (”a second helping”), because it’s being produced by Asread, and they’ve done some fantastic stuff: Shuffle, Ergo Proxy and Kiddy Grade 2 (the movies and upcoming series). As long as they keep the same Minami-ke formula, I’m sure this one will be made of win anyway.
Ookami to Koushinryou

This sounds like one of the more interesting series of the season. The name translates to “Wolf and Spice”. It involves wolf girls, which is close to an instant win in my books. Definitely keeping an eye on this one.
Rosario + Vampire

Unfortunately, this one is a Gonzo series. Even worse, this is another cliched shounen plot: boy transfers to a school full of girls, who are actually vampires. I’ll watch this one anyway. If nothing else, I love Gonzo’s animation, and the character designs look pretty damn good, but I’m expecting the worst from this one.
Shigofumi: ~Stories of Last Letter~

Shigofumi sounds like a kind of odd series. All I can figure out is it involves a girl who wears a mail carrier uniform, and something about a shigofumi — a letter sent to families of dead people. Either way, the art looks good, it has some good people behind it, and it’s produced by JC STAFF. I’ll be watching it.
Gunslinger Girl, eh?
